Over the past 40 years I have learned that the golf swing, although complex, has some simple, but very important fundamentals, that must be achieved to make it more efficient and natural. I try to take all my students to the next level by understanding their goals and working with what I see in front of me. It is imperative to me to not only give constructive criticism, but also clearly explain what steps they can take to help them improve. I want each of my students to understand their golf swing, so they can know how to practice and improve on there own. My instruction is tailored to each student’s personal goals, their physical capabilities (or limitations) and their knowledge of the game.
“Don’t simply tell a student what he is doing wrong – that’s not much help. You must explain to them what they should be doing, why it is correct, and the results it will produce. Then work really hard to get it across so they understand what you are talking about.”
